With Josie well on her way to finishing her degree and law school just right around the corner and Price on the verge of graduating from OSU himself, I had to stop and think about how far these young people who have shaped our world have come.
KendalMay, or Kendal, has landed a lucrative position with a New York advertising firm and will be representing a pharmaceutical company that creates a drug to fight breast cancer.
Mackiegirl, or Mackie, has a position with Teach for America and will be pouring into young lives in Oklahoma City. A child like spirit herself, she will grow by playing and oh what those babies will learn.
Carlie, or my OSU daughter, has been accepted into OSU medical school, received her white jacket and will no doubt impress her instructors as well as her med school cohort. We like the boy she met from Kansas, too, even though he attends law school in Norman.
Brynne, MomBrynne, has a job with an oil and gas company in Bartlesville and is preparing to marry her long-time beau in November. No doubt November has never seen a bride as lovely as Brynne will be.
Aldyn, Miss America, works for a pharmaceutical company here in town. She is a quick study of all the facts that need to be memorized. I am positive she will be running the office soon. She lets a sweet man, Jonathan, hang around a great deal which is okay with the rest of us because he is very easy on the eyes.
Aubrey, Waldo, Aubs, Baldo, aka Mrs. Kinnison, loves being married to her Isaiah and remains one of the most disciplined young people I have ever met. She studies faithfully for the CPA exam and works for an accounting firm here in Tulsa.
Ashley, Ash, our favorite Bohemian and Jake's wife, is in her final year of nursing school and often writes to me about the patients she serves - remembering that she is light to them and the families praying for their health.
I am not surprised at their success and the richness of their happiness -but ever so thankful they keep themselves close to my heart and held tightly in the hand of God.
