I finished it on a plane so I was snapping pictures of different pages where the words resonated deeply for me.. A few times, I just snapped a pic of my thumb - go figure.
I am searching on-line and in my computer for words that will distract me from the football that is currently playing. My boys, who both have very deep voices naturally, continue yell at the television in octaves two and three times higher than normal.
So I've read articles about the refugees, about education, about social justice, and about America. I've watched videos about the deaths of teenagers and the five year in Michigan who lost his battle with cancer. When that was just too sad, I went to clean up my pictures; I found this one.
Tomorrow is the first Sunday of Advent. We light candles as we await the celebration of Christ's birth. Here's to being a member of the collective light - not a side, not a political party, not a religion, not the left or the right -
just the light -
