He said each day's a gift and not a given right..."
The friday night lights in the background and the young promising faces that surround him tell the story of an all-american boy, in an all-american high school, in his element, in his senior year.
And he leaves nothing undone.
I realize high school isn't like this for everyone, but for Wade, Union High School exists as the environment in which he thrives, challenged by highly intelligent teachers who are immune to his charm, yet susceptible when it suits them. It is an highly competitive environment where the challenge of being better than yesterday is before him everyday and everyday he is happy to answer it.
His high school also offers him nights like last Friday night and tomorrow night where the competition is thick with rivalry and his purpose clear.
"What's worth the prize is always worth the fight
Every second counts 'cause there's no second try
So live like you'll never live it twice...."
Go SKINS!
