To every bold, brash idea of Taylor's, Kendal offered refinement and grace. To the self doubt my girl had about her own creativity, Kendal offered confidence and inspiration. To every mess sister would create, Kendal was my voice that said, "Don't you want to clean that room?" I love KendalMay.
I love how easily the two became friends their freshman year as Theta pledges and USING participants. I love the acceptance she offered Taylor. I love that I knew her family before I ever met them. I love her style and her grace and the gentle way in which she loves. I love that they were roommates for a whole year. I love her commitment to the hearts she loves without apology. I love KendalMay.
I love that her heart is so connected to my girl that moments after I left the courthouse after visiting with the assistant district attorney about day the day the world ended, Taylor's KendalMay texted me "Happy Monday :) love you so."
I love KendalMay.
A long-time friend and mentor asked me tonight if I felt God's comfort. While there were other examples from folks who care tonight, KendalMay acted as God's hands and feet as he reached down and turned the light on in the corner of my heart.
I love you, KendalMay, and so did my Taylor.
