She seeks light often and because she seeks it, she finds it. Because she seeks it, the light finds others.
My friend Rebecka began this blog "One Good Thing" years ago writing about one good thing that occurs in her classroom each day. There are so many challenges today in public education. In her youth, she is wise. Consequently, the more good she captures, the more rewarding her classes - even when the resources are fewer than they've ever been and the challenges are far greater. She still finds good and she "pours light" (as Taylor would say) into her students daily. They recognize it and flock to her.
So I followed my young mentor's lead, and began writing myself last August. I write about one good thing.
Today, a student gave my friend Rebecka one of Madison's mugs as a teacher appreciation gift.
This cycle, this fickle current that throws me up to shore or thrusts me back to vastness of the ocean is the same constant flow that receives the offering from hearts like Madison's and delivers her precious love light to hearts like Rebecka's. Whether I am watching from the shore or swimming in from the depths of grief's ocean, I am forever thankful that He holds us in his hands, that he connects us - so #lovewins.
Thanks for praying for Kasey's family again today. I have a feeling they were taken out to sea today.
