So, I stopped by the high school on my way into work this morning to finish picking up. Entering the south ramp, I spotted a sweet face near the doors to the school, one of Wade's friends. We call her Maddy-O. Her face lit up when she saw me and a hug awaited me when I approached. When I asked if she and her friends were enjoying the morning sun, she said yes and that they were preparing to go on a prayer walk around our school.
I've never seen Maddy-O when she isn't smiling, when her eyes didn't light up as if you were the only person she wanted to see. We ought to celebrate the kids who love this easy more. She could have just politely waved. She could have just said - yeah - we're just hanging out. She didn't; she loved as bravely as she believes.
