Sometimes it feels like I am.
Then, like the silent power of a swift current a few of hearts in my life move back into my space....
"Can't stop thinking about you..."
"Still praying for you..."
"You are strong...."
"How are you?"
"Mamawitch...."
"I miss her, too."
"I remember everyday."
Tonight the crowning evidence that I am not alone came from Ashley. My favorite bohemian has the privilege of working all summer just outside of Branson, Missouri at Kanakuk camp. She gets to pour light into little ones and let them see how much love Jesus has given Ash to share.
She felt called to talk to her kids about being set apart, she felt they needed to know about Tay. Her faithful, servant's heart shared verses that encouraged her kids to be set apart. Then she talked about joy - a God-given joy that lights up the room. She shared with them the verse out of Matthew 5:14 -"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl."
Ashley sent me her notes and this text, "I felt the Lord tell me I needed to talk about Tay. I needed to talk about her joy and how God's qualities in her made her so unique. The Lord worked through her story, and the message of the lighting the world. It wasn't me."
But it was Ashley who shared this love with me - just like the other hearts who reached out this week.
When I thanked Ashley, she responded with "Her life has purpose momma."
