I remember thinking to myself....here I am....on the edge of happiness...
I know the edge because I know the other side has rip tides and currents and waves that will pound and overtake a heart forsaken. The edge, I know, because I can recognize a moment much more pronounced than a year and seven months ago.
The edge, I know, because somewhere between here and the origin of those very waves lies eternity - where there is no edge - just joy.
"For I have come so that you may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10:10
Tonight, the moonlight flashes brilliantly - like lightening ripped from the violent Oklahoma sky- on the crest of the waves as they break just yards in front of my feet. Some of her ashes lay there, also..... because we bring her with us ....always.
Here's to being just a part of the fire she is....
and here's to being Wade Garrett's mom......#strongandcourageous and #joeysgirl.
