Over the course of the next 48 hours, Jordan wove herself into the fabric of our clan with conservative but gregarious ease. She didn't ask where or if I went to church; she didn't offer an opinion a political affiliation; she didn't press me about issues that require us to care - though I am sure she possesses a strong will, one that once challenged would not be denied. Jordan was as comfortable with adults 3 times her age, as she was her contemporary. She never seemed to question our differences, our stories, the oddities and traditions that made us a family. Still, I found myself wondering and pondering. In such times as these, marveling that our children can still love with such natural and sincere ease.
"And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3
