Price will be Wade's small group leader and his flight leader. He stands on a pretty high pedestal for Wade and has for a while. He reached out to Wade while Price was still in high school and has been a constant mentor. They share personality traits like intelligence, a quick wit, and supreme self-confidence and a drive to serve others.
I didn't know Price was going to be Wade's leader until today. I found out when I found Price in the room with Wade training for the mission trip. I had texted Price just to check on him. Boys don't talk like girls do, and I worry about Price on a regular basis. What he heard, what he saw, what he remembers.
I am thankful Wade reveres Price and more thankful Price will be with Wade in Jamaica. At a time when my prayers for my son can be stifled by fear, God's hand comes in and holds mine.
I was able to make no-bake cookies and send them back to Norman and Arkansas with my girls today. No-bakes are a constant for us - whether we are studying, writing papers, talking about boys, or just needing chocolate - they always know the dining room table will have no-bakes. So thankful they let me continue to be in their lives. It makes me heart feel a little bit more whole.
