A friend of ours, Jonathan, sent this to us. (Actually, he's Aldyn's very hunky boyfriend - but she lets me call him my friend.) We included in the words that Tom read at Taylor's service. I loved them then. I remember loving them..
I thought of them when I received yet another gift from Tracy today in the mail. Along with a kind card with her daughter's favorite phrase, "She loved life and it loved her right back!", came a pocket angel and hundreds of "GOLIGHTTHEWORLD" bracelets. There are moments that I still stop breathing.
When I turn to God, he never fails to answer - sometimes in the quiet moments that just he and I share, sometimes in the love of others, like Tracy. When I recognize his hand, I stop breathing.
Tracy runs in front of the darkness, too, having lost her daughter to a drunk driver last March. Kasey, a sophomore, at OSU was just walking back to the beach house on the sidewalk when she was instantly stolen from the people who love her. Yet, even in Tracy's suffering - joy, holiness, victory, and beauty remain and are shared. She looks for ways to bring light into my life -faithfully - and we have never met.
We write to each other and share our tears, our stories and our visions of Kasey and Taylor being in heaven together - connected by something greater than all of us.
